As a part of Sichuan cuisine, Chongqing cuisine has attracted lots of dinners from all over the world to taste it. There are different dining street to fit different level of consumption for customers. Here we introduce some of the most popular streets in Chongqing.

Hongyadong Dinning Street红崖洞美食街

Near Jiefangbei, Hongyadong dinning street has a long history and culture. The buildings are all built as the traditional Diaojiaolou (hanging attic) that are traditional residence of Guizhou ethnic minorities. Visitors can find lots of traditional local restaurants including Little Swan Hotpot, Hunan restaurant and even Quanjude Roast Duck. The main foods offered in street are Sichuan dishes with Chongqing spicy and sour noodles, spicy bean curd, Wuchaoshou, Zhengdong spicy noodles and Shancheng glutinous rice balls. Other regional dishes are also offered such as Tianjin deep-fried twisted dough, Korean Zagao and Chengdu skewered grilled treats.

Visitors will buy some local specialty ingredients and condiments to take home or bring as gift to friend. The Chongqing Specialty Food Shop is worth to have a look.

Nanbin Road Dining Street 南滨路美食街

Located on the bank of Yangtze River, Nanbin Road Dinning Street is the most popular dining street for local people. People can get the prosperous views of Yangtze River while eating at one of these restaurants. Most popular and famous dinning venues can be found including Taoranju, Shunfeng 123, Qiwazi, and Waipoqiao. Other leisurely places like Water Bar, Tea House and cafes are also lining this area.

Bayi Lu Snack Street 解放碑八一路好吃街

It is famous for its snacks. The strings in Panzi Ma and Welcome Back Again (Haoyou lai) acid and spicy rice flour are always packed with people. And Smallglutinous rice balls and Wang Duck is also worth to have a taste.

Nanshan Quanshuiji (Spring Water Chicken) Dining Street南山泉水鸡一条街

Original from Nanshan, spring water chicken is a newly popular dish in Chongqing. The chicken has three methods to eat. One traditional method is prepared with locally raised meat stir-fried with ginger, pepper, leek and other spices; then it is boiled and stewed with local mountain spring water. The spring water to boiling chicken is taking from Nanshan which make the soup flesh. Over 100 restaurants in the area can let customer to choose their favorite place to have a taste.
